The tent was ok in use but we were disappointed, The Checking tag on the item said it was Checked or Manufactured on 30.10.21 and initialled R(squiggle) Purchase order P019131 for AMG. We tried to call the Helpline but couldn’t get thro (out of hours), so we had to take the tent anyway as there was no time to get a replacement. The cut was not a torn seam and looked very much like a sloppy cut by some scissors. We decided to put it up as a trial run shortly before leaving for the festival and discovered the cut in the fabric close to a sewn seam with some loose trailing thread. However more seriously it had a cut in the fabric when we first opened it. Firstly I didn’t receive any delivery tracking information to tell me when the item would be delivered and so it was fortunate that I was in when it did. We have used a Vango ICARUS 500 for some years and have been very pleased but wanted a slightly smaller and lighter tent to take to a Festival so bought a BETA 550XL. He actually said we're going around on circles because he did not listen to what I was saying about it being exceptional circumstances etc just 2 years is 2 years and we only deal with the retailer not you ! I thought I would buy off a large well known company like vango as I have a lot of their equipment for my caravan however today I would of got better service from a small company You can see they have never been used Not happy and lost confidence buying off vango again I'm afraid as these lights were £40.00 and both sets are broke Anyway only just had the opportunity to use them due to not being able to use our van after a crash Spent ages putting awning and lights up only to find lights again have lots of LEDS not working Called retailer WInfields who said they are out of warranty not taking into account lockdown and he would contact vango to ask them I called vango only to be spoken to rudely and so unsympathetic by a customer service who showed no understanding of covid lockdown His response is 2 years is 2 years so not their fault we havnt been able to use them even though I have pictures of items in the box unopened. They changed them fine so I bought another set. I have just called vango about some LED Strip lights I bought before lockdown The first set had lights out ,I emailed retailer and took them in after lockdown which was a while later.
